This 8-3/8 inch replacement skimmer Weir is a universal Weir that installs quickly and easily with a pair of household pliers and is used on Swimquip, Sta-Rite, Hayward and other skimmers. Just remove the old Skimmer Weir and insert the new Weir in the same position. Then pull the pins out of the new weir for a spring loaded installation. Your new skimmer weir will float and allow just the surface of your pool water to be pulled into the skimmer for the perfect skimming functionality.

Our weir came out, possibly because a pool cleaner had tried to stick a cleaning hose through the pool outlet, dislodging the weir. Thanks to your diagram I put wire through the holes to keep the spring in, then pulled the wire out once it was back in place. Your diagram of the pins attached by the cord was invaluable in helping me figure out how to get the weir back in place. They seem to last about 10 years. (Posted on 6/10/11)
