We use these steps with one of the two-person hot tubs we have at our bed and breakfast. They are light-weight and very easy to clean. The texture of the steps makes them nicely non-slip. They definitely look plastic, but the "wood" tone keeps them from looking too out of place against the cedar siding of the hot tub. They feel fairly sturdy and do not seem overly flexible when I step on them. I would especially recommend them for outdoor use as they are so easy to clean. (Posted on 11/14/11)
