Best Selling Pool Filters

Choosing the best swimming pool filters for your pool.

There are three basic types of swimming pool filters to choose from; sand filters (your standard pool filter), cartridge filters (your simple, low maintenance filter), and DE or diatomaceous earth (your crystal clear perfect water filter).

Sand filters are the most common pool you’ll find on the market and are known as the standard pool filter for good reason. Sand has been used as a filtration method for centuries thus it being extremely reliable and works by water being forced through the layers of sand to filter out debris.

Cartridge filters are the most economical and low maintenance pool filters available for pool owners. Water is filtered through the filter cartridge material that traps debris, dirt, and oils before reentering your pool. Filter cartridges are usually replaced every pool season.

DE or diatomaceous earth filters are the best filters in terms of filtration. Diatomaceous earth is the fossilized exoskeletons of tiny diatoms that are actually mined out of the earth. This material is used to coat grids within the pool filter and is capable of filtering particles as small as 5 micros.
