The IntelliChlor Power Center converts an AC electrical current to the low voltage DC current that the salt cell requires to operate and perform the electrolysis. Since the power supply is connected with the pool pump's electrical source the cell will only operate while the pump is running. The system's transformer, fuse and connection to the cell are housed in the power center along with the 110 VAC wiring configuration with the 36 V DC output cable to the cell controller.
