Hayward pool fitler valves come in three basic sytles/models. There is the basic push/slide valve that has 2 positions for filtering and backwashing your pool water. Next, there is what they call a multi-port valve that is either placed on top of your pool filter (top mount valve) or is plumbed in to the side of your filter (side mount valve).
