Nava 6 lb Pool Alkalinity Increaser is designed to control the Total Alkalinity in your pool. If the Total Alkalinity in your pool is in the correct range, pH control is easier. You should try to adjust the Total Alkalinity before adjusting the pH. If Total Alkalinity is too low the pool's pH will not stay in the correct range. The recommended total alkalinity level is 80-120 parts per million (ppm).
