Nava Alkalinity Boost is designed to control the Total Alkalinity in your pool. If the Total Alkalinity in your pool is in the correct range, pH control is easier. You should try to adjust the Total Alkalinity before adjusting the pH. If Total Alkalinity is too low the pool's pH will not stay in the correct range. Maintaining the proper alkalinity level will also stop eye irritation, equipment corrosion and plaster etching that is caused by low total alkalinity. The recommended total alkalinity level is 80-120 parts per million (ppm).
